Nigerian Navy (NN) Recruitment Application

The Nigerian Navy has commenced recruitment exercise for Basic Training School Batch 37. This was announced via the official X page (x.com/NigerianNavy).

The online registration starts from 15th November 2024 and ends on 20th December 2024. Registration is completely FREE for all applicants.

And the Nigerian Navy Recruitment Aptitude Test will hold on 18th January 2024 for all successful applicants.

Qualifications needed for Nigerian Navy Recruitment Registration

  1.  Those applying with O’Level/SSCE results must be within the ages of 18-22 years on or before 31st December 2024. Must have at least 5 credits (including Mathematics and English Language), not more than 2 sittings in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB not older than 2018.
  2. Those applying with OND/NCE must be within the ages of 18-26 years. Those for Chaplain/Imam Assistant and Drivers/Mechanic must be within 18-28 years of age on or before 31st December 2024. Must have at least 5 credits (including Mathematics and English Language), not more than 2 sittings in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB not older than 2014.
  3. Tradesmen applying for these categories: Tailoring, Carpentry, Plumbing, Masonry, Welding, Electrician, Painting, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology must have a Test Trade Certificate as well as credit in English Language with minimum of 4 passes in other subjects in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB not older than 2014.
  4. Those applying for professions linked with medicine must have ND from recognized training institutions in Nigeria with a valid practicing license.
  5. Those applying as sportsmen/women are required to present evidence of their experience, which shall include both certificates and medals.
  6. All applicants must be able to communicate fluently in English Language. Unable to do so, will attract disqualification.

Eligibility Requirements for Nigerian Navy Recruitment

To be recruited into the Nigeria Navy, applicants must meet these essential requirements:

    • Nigerian citizen by birth, possess a National Identity Number (NIN)
    • Must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.
    • Applicants must not be less than 1.69 metres and 1.65 metres tall for men and women respectively.
    • Applicants must not be convicted of any criminal offence.

Application is online and the portal is currently open. Interested and qualified applicants are to apply only once as multiple application will lead to disqualification.

Apply online via the recruitment portal https://joinnigeriannavy.com → Scroll to “Nigerian Navy Recruitment” → Click “Apply Now” → Complete the application form, submit online and print a copy  Print and complete the Guarantor form as appropriate → Bring duly signed copies of the application and guarantor form to the designated state recruitment centers

Note:

  • The Acknowledgement Form, Parent/Guardian Consent Form, Local Government Attestation Form (To be signed by a military officer of the rank of Commander in the NN or equivalent in the AFN or LGA Chairman) and Guarantor’s Certification Form.
  • The Attestation Form must be accompanied by the passport photograph and photocopy of signee’s Driver’s License, International passport or National ID card.

All successful applicants will be required to undergo basic military training which upon completion, will be enlisted into the Service as Ordinary Seaman in Nigerian Navy.
