Nigerian Army Recruitment 89RRI 2025 Registration Form
The Nigerian Army has started online registration for the 89 Regular Recruits Intake Recruitment Exercise for Trades/Non-Tradesmen and women, commencing on the 31st of March 2025 and ends on 17th of May 2025. The Application Form is online and FREE for all interested and qualified candidates. This announcement was made via the Nigerian Army official X page (X.com/@HQNigerianArmy).
Basic Entry Requirements for Candidates
These are the ONLY requirements all applicants MUST meet to be recruited by the Nigerian Army:
- Applicants MUST be single, Nigerian citizen by birth and possess National Identity Card (NIN), Bank Verification Number Slip (BVN)
- Applicants MUST be medically, physically and psychologically fit in accordance with Nigerian Army Standards
- Applicants must be FREE of all criminal convictions by court of law
- All Applicants MUST possess at least a minimum of 4 passes including English Language in not more than two(2) sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB/NBAIS
- In addition to above qualifications, those applying as tradesmen/women MUST also possess TRADE TEST/CITY AND GUILD CERTIFICATE
- Applicants MUST possess a valid birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission, Hospital and Local Government Council or age declaration
- An Applicant MUST NOT be less than 18 years or more 22 years for non-tradesmen and women, while tradesmen and women MUST NOT be more than 26 years as at 30th June 2025
- Applicants MUST NOT be less than 1.68 metres and 1.65 metres tall for men and women respectively
- Applicants MUST possess a valid State of origin certificate

Method of Application for Qualified Candidates
The registration is online, and the portal is now open. Application is FREE and applicants are to apply ONCE! Multiple applications will lead to outright disqualification.
Follow these 6 simple steps to Apply:
- Apply online via the recruitment portal: https://recruitment.army.mil.ng
- Login on the above mentioned link using the username and password
- Scroll down to “89RRI Recruitment”
- Click “Apply Now”
- Complete the application form, submit online and print a copy. Then print and complete the Guarantor form as appropriate
- Ensure you bring duly signed copies of the application and guarantor form to the designated state recruitment centers
Candidates Please Note:
- Candidates are to note there will be NO Pre-selection Computer Based Test
- NO special center for recruitment
- All screening of potential recruits will be conducted at the candidates’ respective State of origin
- Candidates are not to bring electronic or recording devices to the venue of the State Recruitment Exercise
- Candidates MUST NOT have any bodily inscriptions or tattoos
- Candidates MUST tender all original copies of educational certificates (Primary to Secondary)
- Candidates MUST NOT belong to any cult/society/fraternity
- Any candidates who falsifies or forges his/her results and is discovered even during training at Depot Nigerian Army would be withdrawn from training
- Candidates are advised in their own interest NOT to give any form of gratification or inducement to any person or group of persons to assist them in the recruitment exercise
- Candidates are advised to come with their NIN slip
- Names of shortlisted candidates who would participate in the State recruitment screening will be published on the Nigerian Army website for the awareness of all candidates
- Shortlisted candidates would be expected to report to their respective State of origin for the screening exercise from 2nd June – 16th June 2025
