Department of State Services (DSS) Recruitment Application
The Department of State Services is currently recruiting, and the application is free.
All interested applicants are to draft a hand-written application letter, addressed to the Director General State Services (DGSS). The application letter should be submitted at the Admin Unit of the applicant’s State Command on or before 22nd August 2025 with photocopies of relevant academic qualifications. Also attach mode of identification e.g National Identity Number (NIN) or Driver’s License.
Applicants must be indigene of their State and must apply through same State, reflecting their Senatorial zone.
Qualifications needed for Department of State Services (DSS) Recruitment Registration
- Applicants must have credit in English Language and Mathematics as well as 3 additional credits in other subjects on not more than one sitting.
- Applicants must have a minimum of Second Class Lower Division for holders of first degree and Lower Credit for HND holders.
- Applicants must have NYSC Discharge Certificate or Letter of Exemption from NYSC.

Eligibility Requirements for Department of State Service (DSS) Recruitment
To be recruited into the DSS, applicants must meet these essential requirements:

- Nigerian citizen by birth, possess a National Identity Number (NIN)
- Applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 27 years
- Must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit
- Female applicants must be single while male applicants must be 1.60 metres tall
- Applicants must not be convicted of any criminal offence
