Nigerian Air Force Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 34/2025 Recruitment Application
The Nigerian Air Force has commenced recruitment exercise for Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 34/2025. This was announced via the official X page (x.com/NigAirForce).
The online registration starts from 27th August 2025 and ends on 7th October 2025. Registration is completely FREE for all applicants.
Also, the Nigerian Air Force Recruitment Zonal General Aptitude Test will hold on a date which will be announced on the NAF recruitment portal and successful candidates will be invited for the selection interview.
Qualifications needed for Nigerian Air Force Recruitment Registration
- Applicants must have a minimum of Second Class Upper Division for holders of first degree and Upper Credit for HND holders. Having Msc/MA as well as Computer literacy will be added advantages.
- Applicants must have credit in English Language and Mathematics as well as 3 additional credits in subjects related to their course of study.
- Applicants must have NYSC Discharge Certificate or Letter of Exemption from NYSC as at the time of applying for DSSC.
- Medical applicants must have certificates of registration with their respective statutory professional bodies in Nigeria.

Eligibility Requirements for Nigerian Air Force Recruitment
To be recruited into the Nigerian Air Force, applicants must meet these essential requirements:

- Nigerian citizen by birth, possess a National Identity Number (NIN)
- Applicant must be between the ages of 20 and 32 years, while Medical Doctors (consultants) should be between the ages of 25 and 40 years as at the time of application.
- This recruitment exercise is not for serving personnels looking for Branch Commission. Hence, personnel above 32 years of age should not apply.
- A serving personnel must be recommended by his/her Commanding Officer/Commander and must have served for at least, 10 years and attained the rank of Cpl.
- Must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit and must be the employment standard of the Nigerian Air Force.
- Applicants must not be less than 1.66 metres and 1.63 metres tall for men and women respectively.
- Applicants must not be convicted of any criminal offence.

Note:
- The Acknowledgement Form, Parent/Guardian Consent Form, Local Government Attestation Form (To be signed by a military officer of the rank of Commander in the Nigerian Air Force or equivalent in the AFN or LGA Chairman) and Guarantor’s Certification Form.
- The Attestation Form must be accompanied by the passport photograph and photocopy of signee’s Driver’s License, International passport or National ID card.
All successful applicants will be required to undergo basic military training which upon completion, will be enlisted into the Service as Cadets in Nigerian Air Force.
